Profhilo is not a dermal filler it is a hyaluronic acid gel, one of the latest innovations to treat skin laxity by skin bio-remodelling. Profhilo is a skin booster made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It creates a fresh natural look and softens fine lines.
How does it work
Profhilo stimulates the production of new collagen in the skin by a slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The treatment protocol
Results are visible after only 2 sessions 4-6 weeks apart. Treatment results last for up to six months. Profhilo can work as a treatment on its own or in combination with other cosmetic treatments.
Complications
As with any injectable treatment there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling, as well as infection, allergic reaction, vascular compromise and nerve damage; although IBSA claims these are rare.
Contraindications
Contraindications include patients with bleeding disorders, immune compromised disorders and those with unrealistic expectations.
Conclusion and treatment areas
Profhilo does not create the volume replacement associated with dermal fillers, it creates volume in the tissue where it is needed due to its high spreadability. It is good to treat challenging areas such as the eyes, neck, chest and hands.
When treating the submalar area, IBSA has developed a five point protocol called BAP (Bio Aesthetic Point) Technique. Which involves five bolus injections of 0.2mm on each side of the face. The injection sites were identified using a selection criteria which aims to reduce risks to the blood vessels and nerves and maximise efficacy through diffusion
The Jalupro range reduces skin wrinkleness significantly. The product has especially shown to have an excellent biorevitalizing efficacy and improves the main skin aging and photo aging signs. This efficacy grows over time and lasts approx. 6 months. Jalupro is a sterile reabsorbable injectable solution, which acts as dermal biorevitalizer, that can be used for improving skin texture and minimizing evidence of skin wrinkles of the face.
There are three Jalupro products:
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JALUPRO CLASSIC AND JALUPRO HMW?
The main differences are that HMW is slightly thicker so not suitable for the under eye area, and it is for more mature skin (over the age of 40) where the skin is very marked (furrows, depressions and deep wrinkles, in particularly, those of the neck and décolleté).
WHAT IS JALUPRO CLASSIC?
Jalupro Classic is a sterile reabsorbable injectable solution which acts – as dermal biorevitalizer which can be used for improving skin texture and minimizing evidence of skin wrinkles of the face; – as adjuvant in the physical or chemicals treatments such as peeling, laser therapy, dermoabrasion, radiofrequency, dermal filler, botulinum toxin, etc
WHAT IS JALUPRO HMW?
Jalupro HMW (High Molecular Weight) is a resorbable and sterile injectable solution that acts as a dermal biorevitaliser. It may be used as a treatment for skin depressions, as well as any defects caused by scarring.
Manufactured by Professional Derma SA, this solution supports temporary volume substitution and the restoration of elasticity by promoting soft tissue growth. Additionally, it may be used as a tissue lubricant to minimise wrinkles and fine lines, or as an adjuvant in other chemical or physical treatments (including dermabrasion, laser treatments or peeling).
Jalupro HMW may be used for the correction of mild to moderate skin imperfections, and is especially indicated for the decolletage and neck areas. It is made of hyaluronic acid in the form of sodium hyaluronate, as well as amino acids like glycine, L-leucine, L-proline, and L-lysine HCL. Each package of Jalupro HMW comes with 1 disposable1.5ml glass syringe, which contains 20mg of sodium hyaluronate, as well as 1-1ml glass bottle, which contains 80mg of a sterile amino acid solution. Needles must be obtained separately, and may be chosen based on the practitioner’s preference and technique.
WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
Jalupro HMW is a transparent injectable solution made of hyaluronic acid in form of sodium hyaluronate. Additionally, it contains a multitude of amino acids, including glycine, L-leucine, L-proline, and L-lysine HCL.
The sodium hyaluronate in this solution is similar to the naturally-produced hyaluronic acid in the body. After injection, it instantly helps to restore the lost volume in your patient’s skin, while reducing facial folds, scars and wrinkles, and providing support for the overlying layers of the skin. The amino acids encourage the production of collagen and the growth of skin cells, improving the strength, elasticity, tone, and thickness of the skin.
WHAT IS JALUPRO SUPER HYDRO?
Jalupro® Super Hydro is ideally suited for use in the facial area for age-related skin damage. This product is also ideal for more severe wrinkling. This injection solution works with hyaluronic acid in two different molecular weights. As a result, Jalupro Super Hydro achieves a particularly natural and lasting effect. This is because the hyaluronic acid has a strong moisture-binding effect, which leads to the saturation of the tissue and thus creates a healthy, elastic skin appearance. In the long term, the hyaluronic acid at the treatment site also supports the skin structure by stimulating the tissue to produce its own collagen and elastin. In addition, the hyaluronic acid provides a subtle brightening of the treated skin areas and a smoother, fresher appearance. The other ingredients in Jalupro Super Hydro help to enhance these effects. It also contains amino acids and peptides that achieve long-term activation of the tissue's own fibroblasts.
Jalupro® Super Hydro - Innovative moisturizing formula. new formula, thanks to the cooperation of all active ingredients: hyaluronic acid in two molecular sizes, 7 amino acids (glycine, proline, lysine, alanine, valina, arginine, leucine), 3 mimetic peptides (Acetyl Decapeptide 3, Acetyl Tetrapeptide 5, Oligopeptide 24)
Use: It is recommended to use a series of 3-4 treatments at monthly intervals.

WHAT IS JALUPRO?
To put it simply, Jalupro is a skin booster that is made up of 4 different amino acids and hyaluronic acid. This combination is a science research backed combination of excellence in the treatment of chrono and photo aging.
Jalupro was introduced into the market in 2005 and there has been more than 1 million treatments performed with great results.
IS JALUPRO A DERMAL FILLER? No, this is not a dermal filler. It is not cross linked which means it doesn't stay in the skin. Jalupro has a thin liquid consistency whereas filler is a thicker gel. Think of it as a skin booster and anti aging treatment.
WHY WOULD I WANT THIS PROCEDURE DONE?
Jalupro, when injected into the skin, encourages the metabolic activity of fibroblasts, stimulating the production of new collagen and ensuring the skin maintains optimum moisture levels - creating molecular 'scaffolding' that makes the skin more elastic.
HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?
The prepared product is injected with a very fine mesotherapy needle into the dermis layer of the skin.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE THE DIFFERENCE?
Every one is different and it really does depend on the condition of the skin.
It is recommended to have a course of 3-4 treatments to gain optimum results - but most people will see a difference a few weeks after the second treatment.
HOW WILL I LOOK AFTERWARDS?
As this is not a toxin or dermal filler, the only different you will notice is that your skin is rejuvenated (softened fine lines and wrinkles), more hydrated and brighter. If applied to the eye area, dark circles will appear lighter.
WHO CAN HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE?
Anyone over the age of 18.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women can not have this procedure.
It is also those with autoimmune disease, porphyria or untreated epilepsy are also unable to have this treatment.
Your practitioner will go over the list of conditions that prevent suitability for treatment.
Dermaren Lumi Eyes is a PDRN injection that is designed to rejuvenate and restore the skin around the eyes. As a result, it is very suitable for the treatment of dark circles under the eyes and wrinkles in the periorbital area.
Main Effects of Dermaren Lumi Eyes
Dermaren Lumi Eyes is injected in in the eye area to improve damaged skin by stimulating skin cells to regenerate. By doing so, it has a rejuvenating effect on the skin. As a start, the PDRN (Polynucleotide) in it encourages the body to produce more collagen and elastin. Overtime that helps the dermis to restore itself.
With its help, the skin around the eye will appear even more healthier and youthful.
How is Dermaren Lumi Eyes Different thatn HA injtections?
Even though a treatment with Dermaren Lumi Eyes can be combined with that of Hyaluronic Acid injections, this product is not to be mistaken for a filler injection. In contrast to fillers, this Dermaren product is skin-boosting injection. Instead of filling wrinkles with HA gel, it provides skin cells with valuable nutrients and antioxidants. Still, similar to HA-based treatments, the treatment is also risk free and minimally invasive.
How many treatments will I need?
Dermaren Lumi Eyes offers perfect results after just one session, however for optimum results, we recommend having a course of 3 - 4 treatments, 2 weeks apart. Following the initial course, we would recommend an additional session once a year to maintain results.
What are the aftercare guidelines?
Demaren Lumi Eyes boasts fast absorption speed, meaning you can go straight back to your normal activities following treatment, with minimal downtime. Following treatment, your practitioner will apply arnica gel to the eye area to help the healing process, and we advise that you keep the area clean and dry and avoid wearing make-up directly under the eyes for 24 hours.
