DERMAL FILLER INJECTIONS

DERMAL FILLER TREATMENTS @ Chelski-Aesthetics

Treatments with dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid) are an easy and effective way to enhance the face’s natural beauty. Filler treatments such as lip fillers, cheek enhancement, and tear trough augmentation are some of the UK’s most popular beauty treatments.

What is Dermal Filler Made of?

Semi-permanent fillers are a  manmade, non-animal gel that mimics the body’s natural hyaluronic acid,  giving safe, long-lasting and natural looking results. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that is found in your body, and any  injected amounts will be absorbed into the body after a few months.

Benefits of Dermal Fillers

  • Shape, define and enhance the face’s natural beauty
  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rejuvenating, anti-ageing effect
  • Immediate results with no downtime

What to expect directly after your treatment

  • Post treatment there may be some tenderness,  redness and swelling, this is very normal and will subside, usually within a few days.
  • No recovery time is required dermal filler treatment and you can return to day to day activities straight away.
  • Occasional bruising can occur; it is usually short term and lasts a few days.

Pre-Treatment Instructions:

  • For optimal results, and to minimize the chance of bleeding or  bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning  medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment. This  includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin, Motrin,  ibuprofen, and Aleve. Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic,  vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John’s Wort and omega-3/fish oil capsules.  If you have a cardiovascular history, please check with your medical  provider prior to stopping use of aspirin or other prescribed blood  thinning medications.
  • Do not drink alcoholic beverages 12 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising.
  • Please consider if you have any upcoming events or pictures in the 2 weeks after your appointment as bruising can occur.
  • Please eat something prior to your appointment. Getting light headed is no fun for you or the provider.
  • For lip filler patients: Inform your provider if you have a history  of cold sores around your mouth to receive advice on antiviral therapy  prior to treatment. (Acyclovir 400 mg, twice a day for 3  days before and 3 days after treatment)
  • For all filler patients: You must have no sings or symptoms of any  active infection including colds, flu, UTIs or any other infective  process.

Post-treatment advice

  • Avoid wearing make-up for 12 hours post dermal filler injections treatment.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures until redness and swelling subsides – no saunas, steam rooms, sun beds or sun exposure,
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours post dermal filler treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours minimum post treatment,
  • Avoid manipulation of the treated area.
  • No flying in the next 72 hours.

How long do dermal fillers last?

The effects of Dermal Fillers gradually fade, but will last on average between 4-12 months, depending on the treatment area.

When you start to notice the effects of your fillers wear-off you can  come back for a top-up treatment. Should you  choose not to continue with dermal fillers the gel will biodegrade in  the skin and simply disappear with time.

How quickly will I notice filler results?

You will see instant results after your Dermal Filler treatment.

No recovery time is required after dermal filler treatment and you can return to day to day activities straight away.

Plump and Juicy Lips - Enhance the Beauty Flawlessly

Despite wearing face masks, lip fillers just keep getting more popular.

What Are Lip Fillers?

Lip filler treatment is a popular non-surgical treatment to boost  both the shape and volume of the lip via the injection of dermal lip  filler.

As the effects of ageing take hold, lip volume depletes to leave a  thinner, flatter appearance. Wrinkles and fine lines may also appear,  contributing to a less smooth look, less defined borders and a flattened  'Cupid's bow', creating an overall tired and aged appearance.

Lip fillers can provide a quick, safe and effective non-surgical  solution to reverse these symptoms, and deliver improved lip volume and  contour.

Benefits of Lip Fillers

  • Lip Fillers lend volume and definition to create bigger lips, producing a sensual, more pronounced pout.
  • Gives a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.
  • Can help turn the corners of the mouth upwards.
  • The treatment is non-invasive with virtually no recovery time  necessary; you can resume your normal activities immediately after  treatment.
  • Non-permanent and will naturally break down.
  • Lip Injections are only performed by a fully trained Aesthetician.
  • Suitable for Vegans.
  • Lip augmentation treatment can be tailored to your needs providing a natural look.

About Lip Fillers

There are many reasons why people are unhappy with the shape and size  of their lips. For some their lips have started to appear thinner and  less defined as a result of the natural ageing process. For others their  lips have always been narrow with a less pronounced cupid’s bow.

Each face is unique and while our extensive experience enables us to predict how your lip filler results will look after your treatment no-one can guarantee the outcome. This is why, for your first treatment  with us, we choose to build on your results over a period of time to  ensure you get the look you want whether it is subtle and natural or  full and striking.

Does Lip Enhancement hurt?

Lips are  very sensitive, so we apply a topical anaesthetic before your treatment  to numb the area. There may still be some discomfort, if this is too  great inform your nurse practitioner who will look to ease this as much  as possible.

Tear Trough Filler

What are Tear Trough Fillers?

Tear trough filler treatment, also referred to as under-eye filler or dermal filler, is a popular cosmetic solution for tackling tired looking eyes. It is a non-surgical procedure that involves carefully injecting a gel-like substance into specific areas around the eyes, which works to replace the lost volume brought about through the ageing process. The outcome is smoother, younger-looking, more radiant skin, and a reduction in deep wrinkles and lines.

Why undergo tear trough treatment?

Fillers are an effective option for patients with tear trough hollows and under-eye bags. As we start to age, the area underneath the eyes, known as the tear trough area, becomes more prominent. The change in appearance often presents with dark circles and under-eye hollow, leaving one to look tired and exhausted.

In addition, hollowing under the eyes can expose bags, which make the appearance worse. Dermal filler injections help to normalise facial contouring around the lid-cheek junction and avoids the need for surgery.

If your under-eye bags are severe, a blepharoplasty procedure may be more beneficial.

At what age should you get under-eye fillers?

Tear trough fillers are an increasingly popular non-surgical aesthetic treatment amongst younger people. However, individuals of any age can undergo the procedure if they seek a fresher, more rejuvenated look, and a break from tired looking eyes by restoring volume loss

Chin Filler

Our chins, their shape, and the way they look in general have a huge impact on how youthful, fresh and healthy the rest of our faces look. As we get older, our chins can lose much of their firm and angular look.

WHAT ARE CHIN FILLERS?

Chin fillers also known as a non-surgical chin augmentation have grown in popularity in recent years. An injection of dermal fillers (primarily containing hyaluronic acid) can be used to subtly reshape and remodel the chin, leaving you feeling more confident with your enhanced facial profile and definition.

Chin fillers can be used to help:

  • Increase your chin’s length
  • Increase your chin’s projection
  • Reduce your chin crease
  • Increase or reduce, depending on what you require, the bottom of your chin
  • Work on Marionette creases by building them up between the lips and chin to      reduce the unappealing folds that form there.
  • Reduce or completely remove a dimple in your chin

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

The chin filler treatment takes around 30 minutes to complete and can be administered to you on an out-patient basis.

You can return to work immediately and many people have the treatment in their lunch break.

Cheek Fillers

What are cheek fillers?

Cheek fillers, also known as dermal fillers, are a safe and effective way to add volume to the cheeks, lifting them for a defined look.

At Chelski-Aesthetics we use Juvederm or Revolax which are both very popular high-quality products. Cheek fillers have minimal side effects, you may experience some bruising or swelling which usually goes down very quickly.

How do cheek fillers work?

Cheek fillers are a series of small injections of gel which will add volume to soft tissue in the cheek area. Fillers can also be applied to the jawline, around the mouth and eyes. Cheek filler treatment has the following benefits:

  • Add volume to the cheek area
  • Create contouring and definition
  • Fill out lines and wrinkles
  • Lift and project your cheeks
  • Maintain a natural look
  • Minimal downtime/side effect
  • Can be combined with anti-ageing injectables/lip fillers for maximum effect

Jawline Fillers Treatment

SMOOTH, STRENGTHEN & BALANCE YOUR LOWER FACIAL FEATURE

Depending on your age, gender and personal preferences, a jaw enhancement can increase the width and height of the jawline, fill in lines or folds and for men it can produce a strong, well defined and chiselled jaw. An additional benefit of this treatment is that it creates a natural contour, making the face seem slimmer whilst reducing the appearance of a doubled chin.

During your appointment, our Aesthetics Practitioner will analyse your features and advise the required product (ml) to use to achieve the results you want and to best suit your face shape.

You can always increase the amount of product (ml) on the day of your treatment, if feel you require more. Dermal fillers can be ‘layered’ over time to achieve your desired look.

A jawline enhancement can do the following;

• Strengthen a weak jaw

• Increase the height/length/width of the jaw

• Reduce the appearance of a double chin

• Correct an uneven jawline

• Add definition

• Create a chiselled look (for men)

• Add structure to the face

• Fill wrinkles or folds

• Give the appearance of a slimmer face

Liquid Rhinoplasty

What Is Liquid Rhinoplasty?

The term liquid rhinoplasty is becoming more and more popular on social media and in the news.  Liquid rhinoplasty refers to a non-surgical rhinoplasty in which dermal fillers and/or Botox is injected into your nose to help balance nasal proportions.

Using very small needles, hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers like Juvaderm or Revolax are injected into the nose to smooth irregularities.  These fillers are easy to mold and shape once injected. Botox can be added to eliminate “bunny lines.”  The procedure is designed to achieve an aesthetic result without using a scalpel or requiring downtime.

Why to choose Liquid Rhinoplasty?

There is little to no downtime with a liquid rhinoplasty.  Bruising is rare and most people go back to work immediately afterwards.  The results are instant and without significant swelling.  Liquid rhinoplasties are excellent for correcting minor depressions and hollows but will not make your nose smaller or define the tip of your nose.  It is a very safe procedure with a low complication rate. If you do not like the results, the fillers can be dissolved within 24 hours.

What’s the recovery like?

A major plus to liquid rhinoplasty is that there’s very little downtime after the procedure.  Patients are advised to avoid pressure on the injected area 1 to 2 weeks after treatment. They may also have to gently massage the area for 1 to 2 weeks.
